Overview

As a representative of Medic-CE and other Career Step continuing education brands, this position will work as a sales executive to develop and maintain dynamic relationships with ambulance services, fire departments, hospital outreach programs, etc.). Responsible for understanding and developing an assigned territory to maximize and grow revenue by creating long term, mutually beneficial relationships with customers and prospects using highly skilled efforts with qualified targets and decision makers to uncover opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, close contracts, and manage the territory effectively.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Develops an active account pipeline by working with key customer targets. Analyzes data to identify sales opportunities and brings those opportunities to closure in assigned territory
  • Develops relationships that enable access to and influence over key decision makers in fire and emergency medical services accounts along with healthcare entities.
  • Creates strategic and tactical plans to uncover opportunities and close business
  • Supports direct marketing campaigns, including following up on email and webinar initiatives
  • Attends conferences and professional association meetings and promotes our fire and EMS product solutions and services.
  • Fully uses sales tools, including Salesforce, to track and document all interactions with customers and prospects
  • Monitors current events and maintains competitive analysis of marketplace to have full awareness of the healthcare pre-hospital education sector
  • Travel required (up to 45%)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in Fire/EMS education.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales of products, services and/or education to the fire/EMS market.
  • Must be engaged and involved in fire/EMS association's regionally and nationally as well as other clinical healthcare associations.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of public safety continuing education, critical care nursing continuing education and LMS compliance requirements for continuing education
  • Ability to work in a sales environment where the sales cycle can be 6 – 12 months long or more
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven success in making both telephone and in-person sales calls and presentations
  • Must be a self-starter to grow your assigned territory
