The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is recruiting for one full-time academic position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical series. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of cardiologists, physicians, and nurse coordinators in one of the most highly regarded Cardiovascular Programs in the United States. Appointees to this series are required to participate in teaching and patient care. We are a large tertiary referral center for central California, providing a full spectrum of cardiovascular services, with excellent academic and clinical research opportunities. Applicant should have a commitment to the highest quality patient care, communication, and clinical outcomes.

Candidates must possess an MD, or MD/ Ph.D., or equivalent, and be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Must be eligible for licensure in California. The final candidate will be expected to perform clinical duties in the heart failure clinic, ventricular assist device clinic, and inpatient setting. Experience in or the ability to teach fellows, residents, and medical students is required. Patient care experience in cardiovascular and advanced heart failure medicine is required. The ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment is required.

This position may, at times, require the incumbent to work with or be in areas where hazardous materials and/or infectious diseases are present. Specific hazards of the position may include but are not limited to the use of radioactive or radiolabeled agents in the laboratory.
