Development Officer for the Division of Student Engagement and Enrollment Services (FP554A)

 

The Office of University Advancement at Old Dominion University is accepting applications for the Development Officer for the Division of Student Engagement and Enrollment Services (full-time, 12 month) position. This position will serve as the Development Officer (DO) for the division of Student Engagement and Enrollment Services (SEES). This position will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of diverse group of prospects – parents, alumni, and friends of Old Dominion University – to raise scholarship and program funds to support student success. The DO will formulate and implement a development plan, to complement the strategic plans of the Office of Student Engagement and Enrollment Services, the Office of University Advancement, and the University, to maximize philanthropic support to the organization.

 

 

 

Requirements

Required Education: Master’s degree OR bachelor’s degree in related field with experience and/or training equivalent to a master’s degree.

Required Qualifications: Experience working in a higher education environment or non-profit organization. Experience in project management. Knowledge of fundraising and development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong computer skills, which include desktop software and databases.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Some experience working as a major gifts officer or sales experience with program management. Sales or marketing experience.
