Full-time Operating Systems-Network Analyst in the Lundquist College of Business. The purpose of this position is to provide a high level of technical support to the LCB's computing infrastructure that includes troubleshooting, maintenance and support for 30 servers and 500+ desktop computers. This infrastructure supports student, staff, faculty, and classroom technology within the Lillis Business Complex. This position, in conjunction with the Systems Team, has responsibility for: design, analysis, modification, maintenance, installation, and administration of operating systems, virtual hosts and clients, storage area networks, databases, voice, data, and video within the network infrastructure. This position is the lead role at the Help Desk for the Lundquist College of Business, and as such is responsible for daily operations, student employee recruitment and management, prioritization of support tasks, and operational decision in the Business Technology Center and Business Research Institute. The Operating System/Network Analyst will provide expert-level technical support and analysis of AV equipment in LCB classrooms, labs, and meeting rooms. Duties include, but are not limited to, analyzing needs, making purchase recommendations, and providing guidance and support for system implementations and upgrades. This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge in operating systems programs, maintenance, systems administration, and network systems that would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, engineering mathematics, telecommunications or a related technical field, or equivalent technical training and/or experience.
