The TriNet Political Action Committee (TriNet PAC) Manager will play an important role in advancing the company’s public profile in Washington DC through building and running the company’s Political Action Committee and through representation of the company on Capitol Hill. The TriNet PAC Manager will be responsible for developing, executing and leading a coordinated internal communication and solicitation strategy that advances the participation and contribution goals of the growing PAC through a targeted engagement strategy of internal stakeholders of the company. In addition, the TriNet PAC Manager will manage all compliance associated with the company’s Advocacy program. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and execute a scalable, companywide PAC program, building on existing colleague engagement, with targeted quarterly and annual fundraising benchmarks to exponentially increase YOY receipts;
• Build awareness and understanding of the TriNet Political Action Committee (PAC) with internal stakeholders through events, presence and communication with success being measured by colleague engagement, participation and receipts in the program;
• Serve as lead consultant/expert to the TriNet PAC Board of Directors;
• Increase both internal colleague participation and colleague receipts through direct and indirect PAC solicitation;
• Work in concert with VP, Regulatory Affairs, in aligning support of TriNet PAC with Federal/state advocacy objectives on behalf of TriNet’s overall public policy agenda;
• Responsible to lead compliance associated with Federal PAC and Advocacy program;
• Develop relationships with public policy makers/political fundraisers and allied party organizations in Washington DC that can be helpful when working to educate lawmakers on issues of importance to the Company;
• Work with and manage outside consultants on Political Action Committee and Federal Advocacy related matters;
• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to the Political Action Committee and Federal Affairs;
• Serve as TriNet representative to official and ad-hoc working committees of both Associations and coalitions;
• Prepared for irregular working hours and occasional “crisis environment” situations;
• Other responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.


Education: BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university; Advanced degree preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): N/A

• 5+ years of Political Action Committee (PAC) experience on behalf of a corporation, trade or similar association, or public interest group with emphasis on achieving active solicitation/fundraising targets;
• 7+ years of Federal Affairs experience- combination of working in Congress, a Federal Agency, corporation or trade association;
• Successful outside consultant/contract lobbyist management experience helpful;
• Experience in public policy areas including: labor, employment, insurance and benefits a plus.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills a must.
• Proven leadership ability with self-driven work ethic.
• Analytical decision maker with creative thinking ability.
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Clear and precise understanding and adherence to ethical principles, company values, code of conduct and policies;
• Familiarity with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint, and other communications tools.

• Up to 25% Travel required.
