Job Details

Seeking an EMS Educator who is passionate about student success.  Instructor may teach on both the Lake Havasu City Campus and the Bullhead City Campus, depending on enrollment needs.  This is a 12-month instructional position.  Salary placement will be according to the published faculty salary schedule at the 12-month rate.

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Facilitate all aspects of learning and the educational growth of the students in assigned courses (both on-ground and online) for the field of study for which the faculty member is qualified; exemplify a commitment to excellence in the ongoing preparation and delivery of instruction with a focus on student achievement, advisement and retention and a commitment to personal professional growth.


Located about 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mohave Community College is a comprehensive community college serving Mohave County in the northwest portion of the State of Arizona and its neighboring communities in California, Nevada and Utah. With campuses in Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City and Colorado City, and an extensive online education program, MCC is a learning centered college reaching nearly 2500 full-time equivalent students each year in academic transfer programs (7%), career and technical programs (18%), allied health programs (15%), remedial and adult basic education programs (14%), and dual credit high school/college courses (17%).

Requirements

  • Associates degree (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Current AZ and NREMT paramedic certification.
  • Current AZ Bureau of EMS Lead Instructor (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Five (5) years working experience as a paramedic.
  • Two (2) years experience instructing for a paramedic program (with at least one (1) year instructing for a CAAHEP accredited program preferred).
  • Current instructor qualification (or ability to obtain with six months of employment) in the following disciplines: AHA HCP; ACLS; PALS, PHTLS and AMLS.
