Current licensure as an RN
Current ACLS
Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required.
Previous experience in Emergency Room strongly preferred.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.

Job Description:

Demonstrates ability to perform assessment, interventions, care, treatment, and education based on defined age specific annual competency
Demonstrates awareness of and respect for patient/family needs in relation to rights, confidentiality, privacy, security, complaint resolution and spiritual and cultural needs
Participates in the process for resolution of ethical issues.
Initiates an ethics consult, based on identified need
Maintains active communication between members of the interdisciplinary team caring for the patient
Serves as an advocate and encourages patient/family participation in decisions affecting the Plan of Care.

Qualifications

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and certification.
1-3 years of experience in critical care preferred.
CCRN preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional languages preferred.
Basic computer knowledge
One year of Acute Care Nursing experience preferred.
